Any food made in the crock pot or slow cooker is magical, don’t you agree?
It’s an easy way to impress your significant or loved one and during busy times it comes in handy.
These Crock Pot Teriyaki Steak Bites are a go-to for appetizer when friends come over, or we love making a meal out of them and serving with rice and broccoli!
What you’ll need to make these teriyaki steak bites:
Sirloin steak (I prefer using sirloin since sirloin cuts are often the leaner parts of a steak, with high protein and low fat content. Although they taste delicious, cuts of sirloin aren’t quite as robust in flavor as a ribeye because of their lower fat content!)
Corn starch (if you want to thicken the sauce after the bites are done)
How to make Teriyaki Steak Bites
First, make the sauce. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, crushed garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, pepper, and sesame seeds This will make ~3 cups of sauce.
Next, cut/cube up the sirloin into bite sized pieces. In your crock pot or slow cooker, place the cut up sirloin and pour the sauce over the meat.
Put the lid on and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until the steak reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

The sauce will be thin. If you like it that way, perfect! If you’d like to thicken it, pour the sauce in a small saucepan on the stove and bring it to a simmer, mix 2 Tbsp. corn starch and 1/4 cup water together and whisk it into the sauce until it thickens.
Garnish with green onions and more sesame seeds. Enjoy as is or serve with rice and your veggie of choice! I like broccoli, asparagus or a green salad.
Customize it!: Add in bell peppers and onions into the crock pot too!

When properly stored in the fridge, these steak bites will last for 3-4 days. They are great for meal prepping or when planning out your meals.
I like to use sirloin for this recipe since the meat is so tender, but you can also use tenderloin, rib eye or New York strip steak.

Notes
I really enjoy the sesame oil flavor, but if you want less only use 1 tsp.
Welcome to my tiny “korner” on the Internet! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who loves cookies as much as kale. (OK, maybe I like cookies a little bit more but shh, don’t tell anyone). I am so glad you’re here! Follow along for hassle free, realistic and approachable recipes.
This was soooo good! And easy to make! My fiance requested I make it every night! 😆
I was wondering if you did not add the water, or as much water, if the sauce would come out thicker that way? I used half the water and it was thin still but I just threw it in a sauce pan at the end to thicken it and it worked out just as fine.
Thank you so much Tiffany! What a compliment from them hubby!! I haven’t tested it without the water. I usually always transfer the sauce to a saucepan to get more heat to it and thicken with cornstarch so it resembles a teriyaki sauce or glaze. Glad you both enjoyed! – Tawnie
After it cooks 🙂 I hope you love it, thank you for stopping by Kroll’s Korner!! xo, Tawnie
It is freezing cold here in KC today. Perfect day to get my crock pot out and cook up these teriyaki steak bites. I also want to try my Instant Pot as a slow cooker.
