Garlic Herb Cheese Bread: These are a fun and easy appetizer to make on Italian night dipped in marinara. Orrrr…any night really!
I’ve made these on several occasions for family and friends and they are always a hit. I recommend using them for dunking in the leftover red sauce to clean up the last bits on your plate too!
I love this Garlic Cheese Bread recipe for many reasons but mainly because they only take 8 minutes to cook in the oven and the basic cook can make these to please a crowd.
No fuss with making bread from scratch here!
Just one of these garlic herb cheese bombs has 58 calories and 5 grams of carbohydrates – enjoy a few with your meal or for an appetizer instead of typical garlic bread!
Ingredients you will need for this garlic cheese bread recipe
- 1 can (16.3 oz.) refrigerated Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits (8 large biscuits)
- Mozzarella cheese, fresh cut into cubes
- Butter, melted
- Italian seasoning
- Garlic powder
Recipe for garlic cheese bread
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Separate biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 sections. Slightly flatten each section just enough to place a small cube of cheese in the center.
- Carefully wrap the dough around the cheese and seal. Place the seam side down about an inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cheese is melted. (I like to cook for 8 minutes)
- While the biscuits bake…whisk melted butter, Italian seasoning and garlic powder together. When the biscuits are removed from the oven, immediately brush with butter mixture.

These were a big hit! They make the perfect game day appetizer!
They look great! thank you soo much!
These bites are really good! Definitely a kid favorite. We have even stuffed them with feta when having Greek food, The dip options are only limited by ones imagination. Thanks for a super fast recipe!
That is such a good idea I need to try that variation asap! Thank you ๐
These look delicious. Has anyone ever tried a different cheese? Sharp cheddar or Colby?
Thank you!! I have not tried a different cheese. Mozzarella is usually best to get that nice cheese pull. Cheddar usually melts very well though ๐ Hope you love them. Xo, Tawnie
These have made my husband the happiest man EVER. ????????
If there was one food I would eat for the rest of my life, this would be it. Garlic + cheese + bread = heaven. SO GOOD!

These are the perfect little appetizers I’m going to bring to my in-laws holiday party this weekend!
I hope they all love them!!! Merry Christmas Linds <3
These look and smell delicious! I am seriously amazed at how easy these were to make! Perfect for the Christmas dinner
Thank you so much! I love easy options!
Have you ever made these in the crockpot?
Hi Stacy! No, but that is a genius idea! If I did, at step 3 instead of baking them… I would coat them with the butter, Italian seasoning and garlic powder mixture and then place in crock pot (maybe put a little butter in the crock pot so they don’t stick) and cook on low for 2 hours. ๐
Oh man, my husband would LOVE these! Look at that gooey cheese and the outside looks so buttery. Pinned to treat my husband to an Italian dinner night ๐
I’m glad!! Thank you for stopping by, enjoy! <3
