Dinner Decided: Week 9 Meal Plan

As always, I’ve done the planning for you! The recipes are intentionally paired to reuse ingredients throughout the week, helping you get more out of your grocery haul while reducing food waste. You’ll notice ingredients like corn flakes, onions, ground beef, apples, and fresh herbs making multiple appearances, but each meal has its own unique flavor profile, so nothing feels repetitive.

This might be one of my coziest lineups yet! We’re officially in that time of year when I’m craving warm, comforting dinners, but I still need them to be realistic enough to get on the table during a busy week.

Dinner Decided Week 9 gives us the best of both worlds with Slow Cooker Beef Ramen, Hash Brown Chicken Casserole, classic Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cornflake Chicken Tenders with Mac & Cheese, and a Creamy Harvest Soup to finish out the week. And, of course, there’s a little something sweet waiting for you too: Single Serve Apple Crisp!

With Dinner, Decided you’re getting:

  • Tested, developed, and retested recipes that work
  • Ingredients overlap (cook once, eat twice theory)
  • Leftovers get repurposed in creative ways.
  • Grocery spending stays reasonable.
  • Full shopping lists with swaps and substitution ideas
  • Food waste is minimized.
  • Most importantly…Dinner decisions are already made!

Why This Week Works

  • 🥩 Mix of proteins: Ground beef, chicken, Italian sausage, and meatballs keep dinners from feeling repetitive.
  • 🍲 Different dinner styles: You’ve got a slow cooker meal, cozy casserole, classic pasta night, chicken tenders with mac & cheese, and a hearty soup.
  • 💛 Easy nights are built in: Monday’s slow cooker dinner does most of the work for you, while the casserole and soup are straightforward, comforting weeknight meals.
  • 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Family favorites + something different: Spaghetti and Meatballs and Chicken Tenders with Mac & Cheese are familiar crowd-pleasers, while Beef Ramen and Creamy Harvest Soup switch things up.
  • 🍎 Seasonal produce gets reused: Apples show up in both the Creamy Harvest Soup and Single Serve Apple Crisp, making the sweet treat feel especially connected to the week’s fall theme.
  • 🥦 Plenty of veggies throughout the week: Carrots, celery, butternut squash, kale, broccoli, mixed vegetables, and more help round out all that cozy comfort food.
  • ⚖️ A balance of lighter and richer meals: Heartier casserole, pasta, and mac & cheese nights are balanced by the veggie-packed soup, ramen, and broccoli on Thursday.
