Ingredients

This recipe doesn’t require much, which we love! It’s simple but big on flavor.
- Cream cheese: for that cheesecake flavor, you’ll need cream cheese softened to room temperature. For the best flavor, go for the full-fat cream cheese.
- Cool whip: buy the extra creamy kind if you can find it!
- Brown sugar: I love the caramelized flavor the brown sugar adds. Dark brown is recommended.
- Vanilla bean paste: The specks of vanilla bean paste make this dip tasty and pretty. If you don’t have any paste, vanilla extract works just as well.
- All the extras: flaky sea salt, apples, Nilla wafers, graham crackers, pecans, etc.
Step by Step Directions
Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card for the full recipe instructions.
Mix it up!
Grab a hand mixer, and beat together the cream cheese, 1 cup of the caramel sauce, brown sugar, vanilla bean paste, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
Grab the cool whip
Fold in the cool whip until smooth and no more streaks remain.
Refrigerate then serve!
Pour into a dish, refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set and top with more caramel, Nilla wafers, flaky sea salt and serve with apple slices and graham crackers.
Variations
- Add Crunch: Consider adding toffee bits or candied pecans on top.
- Spice it up: Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg in the cheesecake layer for an extra touch of fall flavor.
- Dip Pairings: While apple slices are a classic choice, you can serve this dip with ginger snaps or cinnamon pita chips.
Storage
- If covered and stored in an airtight container, this cheesecake dip will last 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
- Keep all toppings on the side until just before serving the dip.
