Start your St. Patty’s festivities the healthful way with this nutrient packed Shamrock Shake!
(I made this recipe in 2015 and retook the photo for it in 2018)
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, I wanted to make a healthy version of McDonald’s Shamrock Shake! I did not even realize this shake at McDonald’s even existed…mainly because I do not eat there on a regular basis! I wanted to look up the nutrition information on this drink and share it with you.
The 12oz shake has: 530 calories, 15 grams of fat, 86 grams of carbohydrates, and 73 grams of sugar (18.2 teaspoons of sugar)
The 16oz shake has: 660 calories, 19g fat, 109g carbs, and 93g sugar (23.2 teaspoons of sugar)
The 22oz shake has: 820 calories, 23g fat, 135g carbs, and 115g sugar (28.7 teaspoons of sugar)
My point is to just be mindful of what you are gulping down. Aim to try this healthier version of their shake to give your body some nutrients it really wants and needs! Enjoy this as an afternoon treat or as a yummy dessert alternative. Have fun skinny sipping!
