I am SO excited about this week’s lineup! I love that we’re fully embracing all the cozy fall vibes with recipes that are comforting, packed with flavor, and perfect for this time of year. It’s finally getting chilly in Fresno (chilly = 70s for us right now LOL).

I really love the variety we have going on this week! There’s a little bit of everything to keep dinner exciting, from easy family favorites to cozy comfort food and meals that feel a little extra special without requiring a ton of effort. Because as much as I love spending time in the kitchen, I know we’re all juggling a million things, and getting dinner on the table shouldn’t have to be complicated!

Plus, we’ve got some great ingredient overlap in Dinner Decided Week 10 to help simplify grocery shopping, save a little money, and cut down on food waste. My hope is that this week’s menu takes some of the mental load off your plate and gives you a handful of delicious meals to look forward to. I can’t wait for you to try them all! (Pssst my favorite this week is the Mongolian Beef!)

With Dinner, Decided you’re getting:

  • Tested, developed, and retested recipes that work
  • Ingredients overlap (cook once, eat twice theory)
  • Leftovers get repurposed in creative ways.
  • Grocery spending stays reasonable.
  • Full shopping lists with swaps and substitution ideas
  • Food waste is minimized.
  • Most importantly…Dinner decisions are already made!

Why This Week Works

  • 🧄 Great ingredient overlap: We’re using garlic, onions, ginger, soy sauce, and other pantry staples across multiple recipes to make shopping easier and cut down on waste.
  • 🍗 Rotisserie chicken does double duty: We’re using it in both Tuesday’s Taco Soup and Thursday’s Tacos, saving you time in the kitchen!
  • 🍂 Cozy fall comfort food: With soup, chili, and hearty, flavorful dinners, this week’s menu is perfect for cooler evenings.
  • 🥘 A mix of cooking methods: We’ve got quick stovetop meals, a slow cooker dinner, and make-ahead options so you can choose what works best for your schedule.
  • 🥣 Make-ahead friendly: The soup and chili reheat beautifully, making them perfect for meal prep or easy leftovers.
  • 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Something for everyone: From sweet and spicy flavors to comforting classics and takeout-inspired favorites, there’s plenty of variety to keep dinner interesting.
  • 🍏 A fun fall-inspired treat: The Caramel Apple Date Bark is an easy, no-bake dessert that you can make ahead and enjoy throughout the week!

Dinner, Decided: Week 10 Meal Plan

Monday

Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs
My Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs are a perfect 30 minute weeknight dinner solution. They have the perfect balance of heat and savory goodness. Served with a Sriracha honey glaze (that I am obsessed with!), rice, and broccoli for a balanced meal!

  • Serving Suggestion: I love serving with jasmine rice but you can feel free to use another kind of rice or swap for rice noodles or quinoa. Broccoli is my favorite veggie with these meatballs, but choose whatever sounds best to you!
  • Serving Size Note: This recipe is easy to double for meal prep or if you need to feed more people. I recommend doubling the sauce, too, and cooking the meatballs in batches if needed.

Tuesday

Chicken Taco Soup
This quick and easy Chicken Taco Soup is flavorful and loaded with shredded chicken, beans, and veggies. It’s a hearty and satisfying soup that takes an hour or less. The whole family will love it!

  • Serving Suggestion: Don’t forget your favorite toppings! Tortilla chips or strips, shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, jalapenos… the options are endless!
  • Serving Size Note: The recipe makes about 8 servings as written, and is easy to halve or double. Use a large stockpot if doubling. This soup makes excellent leftovers to take to work throughout the week, or I highly recommend investing in some Souper Cubes for easy freezing and storage of leftovers!

Wednesday

Best Weeknight Chili
This Weeknight Chili is the best cozy, hearty dinner you can throw together on a busy night and know everyone will love. It’s rich, savory, and packed with lots of chili flavor, but it comes together with simple ingredients and makes plenty of leftovers for easy lunches throughout the week.

  • Serving Suggestion: This is a filling meal on its own, but if you want a little something extra to go with it, consider picking up some bread rolls or cornbread.
  • Serving Size Note: The recipe makes about 6 hearty servings. Double for a crowd or freeze extra portions for another night.

Thursday

Baked Chicken Tacos
Oven baked, cheesy, and packed with flavor—these 30-minute chicken tacos are made easy with rotisserie chicken, colby jack cheese, diced green chiles, and yellow corn tortillas. They'll soon be a new family favorite!

  • Serving Suggestion: I find that the tacos are enough of a meal for my family, but you could also serve with a side of mexican rice or refried beans, or make a side salad if desired.
  • Serving Size Note: The recipe as written makes 14 tacos (or 7 servings of 2 tacos each). Halve the recipe for a smaller group or cook in batches when doubling.

Friday

Slow cooker mongolian beef served in a bowl and garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef
This Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef is an easy takeout-at-home dinner made with tender beef and a sweet and savory sauce. Let the slow cooker do the work, then serve it over rice and steamed broccoli for a simple meal the whole family will love!
get the recipe
  • Serving Suggestion: I recommend serving with jasmine rice and broccoli, but similar to Monday’s meal – do whatever sides feel right to you!
  • Serving Size Note: This recipe makes about 8 servings (6 oz each). If doubling, make sure your slow cooker has enough room; you may need two slow cookers.

Sweet Treet

Salted Caramel Apple Date Bark
This Salted Caramel Apple Date Bark is a fun, healthy twist on a classic fall treat, with the perfect mix of chewy, crunchy, sweet, and salty in every bite. It’s an easy no-bake dessert that comes together in minutes and tastes like your favorite caramel apple turned into a snackable bark!

  • Serving Size Note: Cut the bark into approximately 16 chunks. If doubling, use two trays so the bark doesn’t become too thick.
