If your summer has looked anything like mine with family vacations, BBQs, birthday parties, and lots of eating on the go, this week’s meal plan is your little reset. It’s all about getting back into a weeknight routine with simple, family-friendly dinners that don’t require a ton of time or effort. Think comforting one-pan meals, fresh summer flavors, easy leftovers, and recipes that help make getting back to reality feel just a little bit easier.

This plan is also a great one to save for back to school when you’re easing into the new school schedule or simply trying to get dinner on the table without the nightly stress. As always, I’ve already done the planning for you to make weeknight cooking easier, minimize grocery waste with intentional ingredient overlap, and take the guesswork out of what’s for dinner!

With Dinner, Decided you’re getting:

  • Tested, developed, and retested recipes that work
  • Ingredients overlap (cook once, eat twice theory)
  • Leftovers get repurposed in creative ways.
  • Grocery spending stays reasonable.
  • Full shopping lists with swaps and substitution ideas
  • Food waste is minimized.
  • Most importantly…Dinner decisions are already made!

Why This Week Works

  • Perfect for getting back into a routine. Whether you’re settling back in after vacation, getting ready for back-to-school, or just craving a little more structure, these meals make weeknight dinners feel manageable again.
  • Variety without the extra work. This week’s menu features Italian, Tex-Mex, Asian-inspired, Mexican, and Korean-inspired flavors, so dinner stays exciting while still using many of the same grocery staples.
  • Family-friendly, but full of flavor. These are meals the whole family can enjoy! Kid-approved favorites that adults will genuinely look forward to eating too.
  • Designed for busy weeknights. Every recipe is approachable and weeknight-friendly, with no marathon cooking sessions required.
  • Leftovers that work for you. Monday’s Creamy Tuscan Chicken & Rice makes a great lunch the next day, leftover Avocado Corn Salad pairs perfectly with Thursday’s Taco Skillet (or makes an easy lunch on its own), and Friday’s Korean Beef Bowls are ideal for meal prep or easy weekend lunches.
  • Intentional ingredient overlap. Ingredients like avocados, cilantro, green onions, garlic, limes, cheese, and onions are used throughout the week, helping you stretch your grocery budget and reduce food waste.
  • A balance of comfort and freshness. Creamy chicken and rice, crispy taquitos, fresh salmon bowls, a quick taco skillet, and Korean beef bowls give you a little bit of everything, so the week never feels repetitive.
