Cake
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 ½ cups (500g) granulated sugar
Zest of 3 large Bee Sweet Citrus Cara Cara Oranges
5 large eggs, room temperature
3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled
1 Tbsp. baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup (240g) full-fat sour cream, room temperature
¼ cup (60ml) fresh orange juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
Orange Glaze
1 ½ cups (180g) powdered sugar
3-4 Tbsp fresh orange juice
1 tsp orange zest (optional, for finishing)
Instructions
1. Prep the pan & oven: Preheat oven to 325°F. Generously grease a 10-12 cup Bundt pan with butter or baking spray, making sure to get into every crevice. Lightly flour and tap out excess.
2. Infuse the sugar with orange zest: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and orange zest. Rub together with your fingers until fragrant and slightly damp. This releases the oils directly into the sugar — one of the biggest pro-level flavor upgrades.
3. Cream butter & citrus sugar: In a stand mixer (or hand mixer), beat butter and citrus sugar on medium-high for 4–5 minutes until very light and fluffy. Scrape the bowl well.
4. Add eggs (slowly!): Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition and scraping the bowl frequently. This prevents curdling and creates a stable, emulsified batter.
5. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Star (robust) OLIVE OIL TASTE TEST
🫒 light olive aroma
🫒 noticeable peppery finish but it’s not strong
🫒 I’d say it’s both fruity and grassy, but wouldn’t be my favorite pick of the bunch. It was mild, affordable, no long lasting notes on the palate. Just kind of a basic run of the mill cooking oil, nothing stand out about it 🤷🏼♀️

🫒 Tase: It’s pretty bitter in my opinion, I didn’t particularly care for the taste and finish. Once again maybe I had high expectations because of influencers always using it, it just didn’t taste like I was expecting.
🫒 It’s a good budget friendly alternative and I love the squeeze bottles!

1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz.)
1, 4 oz. can diced green chilies

½ cup chicken broth
1 lime, juiced
¼ cup shredded cheese (I like to add a little cheese in the taco meat to make it cheesy ground chicken filling, but it’s optional)
For the Tacos
12, (6-inch) yellow corn tortillas (I use the Mission ‘super soft’ tortillas)
1½ cups shredded cheese (Mexican blend, Colby Jack, or sharp cheddar)
Vegetable oil or olive oil spray, for brushing shells
Kosher salt
Optional Toppings
Shredded lettuce
Pico de gallo or salsa
Sour cream or crema

6 oz. high-quality bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped

✨ Smell it next! Does it smell grassy? apple? Herby?
✨ sip…then slurp! Take a small sip then a slurp. Air spreads the oil across your palate and pushes aromas up to your retronasal passages (where flavor really lives)! Let the oil travel around your mouth on the next few sips pay attention to the sweetness, fruitiness, bitterness, peppery notes in back of throat. High quality olive oil will have fruitiness, bitterness and that peppery finish. 👏🏼🤍
