  • Pitcher: Place 1 ½ cups tequila, 3/4 cups orange juice, 3/4 cup blood orange juice, 1 cup Cointreau, 1 cup lime juice, ½ cup simple syrup in a pitcher. Add 3 large handfuls of ice and stir until cold. Top with sparkling water (optional).
  • Blended: add all ingredients into a blender, add ~1 cup of ice and blend until slushy, adjust ice/liquid as needed to get desired consistency. Pour into prepared glasses and serve!

Notes

  • Fresh Citrus: Freshly squeezed lime juice is essential for a bright and zesty margarita. Avoid bottled lime juice, as it lacks the freshness and acidity of freshly squeezed citrus.
  • Experiment and Have Fun: Try different ingredients, ratios, and garnishes to find your perfect margarita recipe. The beauty of this cocktail lies in its versatility, so feel free to get creative and make it your own!
