Black Tea Fruit Smoothie

This Black Tea fruit smoothie is a healthy and recipe, made with black tea, milk, frozen berries and a banana. It's the perfect on the go snack or breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed Lipton® black tea (cooled)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
  • 1 Tbsp. chia seed

Instructions

  • Make a cup of Lipton® black tea as you normally would and let the tea bag steep for 3-5 minutes. Let this cool.
    1 cup brewed Lipton® black tea (cooled)
  • In a large high-powered blender, add in all ingredients and blend on high for 1-2 minutes or until all ingredients are well combined. If necessary, add in more milk. Makes 2 smoothies.
    1 cup milk, 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1 cup frozen mixed berries, 1 medium banana, 1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp. chia seed
  • Optional additions: 1 Tbsp. nut butter, 2 Tbsp. protein powder, 2 handfuls of spinach, honey or maple syrup to slightly sweeten smoothie more.

Notes

Use coconut cream or cottage cheese instead of Greek yogurt.
Can use non-dairy beverages such as almond milk or cashew milk.
Add in a touch of maple syrup, honey or stevia drops if you feel the smoothie needs to be a little sweeter.
