SOUR CREAM BISCUITS AND GRAVY

comforting, cozy, and such a classic!

whisk together dry ingredients

cut in cold butter. I find it easiest to pulse in a food processor  

pulse until small clumps of butter form/size of peas

whisk together sour cream and milk until smooth

Drizzle the milk mixture into the dry ingredients, tossing with a fork to incorporate.

dough will be shaggy,  that's OK. 

shape into a rectangle, and cut into 4 sections

stack sections (this helps create flaky layers)

gently roll into 1 inch thick rectangle 

cut into rounds

place biscuits next to each other to help rise. Freeze 10 min. 

brush with butter, then bake
